Tickets

Tickets can be customized by name, price, when ticket sales start and end, how many of each type can be sold, and more. Just click +Add Event and click on the Tickets tab to get started.

Add a new ticket type

Step 1: Go to your event edit page

Go to My Events > Manage Event and click on the event name to edit.

Step 2: Add a new ticket type

Click on the Tickets tab and click +Add Ticket Type.

Step 3: Edit ticket

You need to enter all of the following to create each ticket:

  • Ticket Type: A custom name for your ticket type. The Ticket Type name appears on your event listing, on PDF/mobile tickets, and in sales reports.
  • Price: The ticket cost, not including any fees. For free tickets enter $0. There is no service fee added for free tickets.
  • Start Sale Date/Time: When ticket sales start.
  • End Sale Date/Time: When ticket sales end.
  • Quantity: How many tickets are available. Enter -1 to sell an unlimited number of tickets. You can change this number at any time, even if your event is published and tickets have been sold.

Click Save Event to save the new ticket type before exiting your event edit page.


Advanced ticket settings

From the Tickets tab [1] on your event edit page click Advanced [2] to edit advanced ticket settings.

Ticket type

Use this feature to designate whether it's a ticket, booth, donation, merchandise, pass, seat, or table. This is for your records only and won't be shown on the event listing.

Minimum tickets per order

Sets the minimum number of tickets that must be purchased when someone selects this ticket type. By default this is set to 1.

Maximum tickets per order

Sets the maximum number of tickets that can be purchased when someone selects this ticket type. By default the Max tickets per order is 10 but you can increase this to as high as 100.

Purchase required

Selecting  Yes makes it mandatory to purchase this ticket type. By default this is set to No.

Buy in multiples of

Changing this number forces the purchaser to buy tickets in multiples. Useful for group discounts, buy one get one deals, couples tickets, and more!

Ticket bundling

Select the option to Bundle these tickets to display a group of tickets as a ticket package.

Entry Date

By default your PDF/mobile tickets will display the event date and time (or if it's a multi-day event, the event date range). You can override this default setting by adding an Entry Date.

Ticket description

Enter more details about the ticket type to let attendees know what they will receive with their ticket (like what you get with a General Admission versus a VIP ticket). The description appears as smaller text below the ticket type name.

Promo Display Settings

This setting is used to hide a ticket type or make it password-protected. Learn how to create hidden and password-protected tickets.

Low inventory

Designate a low inventory number to display a message or stop sales before tickets are sold out.

Low inventory number: The number of tickets remaining before Low inventory message/Low inventory action is triggered.

Low inventory message: Displays a message when the low inventory number is reached.

Low inventory action: Choose the option to Stop Sales & Display Message if you want to stop ticket sales once the low inventory number is reached. Choose Display Message Only if you want to display a message while still allowing people to buy tickets.

Shipping Fee

Helpful if you're selling merchandise and want to add a shipping charge to the order.

Generate PDF ticket

Select  No - Never Generates PDF if you're selling t-shirts or other merchandise that you don't want the ticket buyer to receive a PDF ticket for.

Scheduled price changes

Add a scheduled price change to automatically increase or decrease the ticket price on a preset date, or once a certain number of tickets are sold.

Ticket purchase dependencies

Define which ticket type(s) must be purchased in conjunction with this ticket type. Useful when you want to require a purchaser to buy at least one ticket type before they can have access to purchase other items, like a t-shirt or a designated driver ticket. 


Global ticket settings

Global ticket settings override individual ticket settings unless otherwise noted.

Maximum Attendees

The maximum number of tickets available. This number will override quantities set at the ticket level.

Maximum Tickets Per Order

The maximum number of tickets that can be purchased per order.

Ticket Sales Options

Choose whether attendees receive a PDF ticket, SMS text with barcode, or both.

Shipping Fees

Add a shipping fee (per ticket). Collect the ticket buyer's shipping address at checkout by selecting  "Yes" - Item Shippable.

Promo Code Options

Promo Allowed: Disable the promo code field on your event listing by clicking No, remove promo code option as shown below:

By default this option is set to  Yes, allow user to enter promo code (note that attendees are not required to enter a promo code unless the box next to Promo Code is Required is checked off.)

Promo Dropdown: In some cases you may want to display available promo codes to attendees instead of allowing attendees to enter a promo code into a blank field. Choose Display as dropdown list for user to select to display promo codes as a dropdown list.

Promo Required: Choosing Promo Code is Required makes it mandatory to enter a promo code in order to complete an order. A useful option for ticket pre-sales and private events.

Promo Label: Enter a word or phrase to replace Promo Code on your event listing as shown below:

Waiver

Waiver Label: Enter a word or phrase to replace Liability Waiver on your event listing as shown below:

Liability Waiver: Require attendees to agree to your terms before reserving tickets. A great way to include any event restrictions (minimum age, dress requirements or custom refund policies).

To enable the liability waiver simply fill in the Liability Waiver field as shown below and click Save Event.

Email Message

An email is sent to your attendee once their ticket order is complete. Use the Email Message field to add additional event information or any other must-know details.

Max Attendees Message

Change the message displayed when tickets are sold out.

No Tickets Available Message

Change the message shown before ticket sales start and after ticket sales have ended.


Security settings

Add an optional Captcha to help prevent bots and ticket re-sellers from making large ticket purchases. Ideal for events with advanced sales of more than 10,000 tickets.
